buzzkill
that one guy showing up
& dragging everybody down
ruining our good time upending
all our well-parsed theories
who the hell does he think he is
closing gaps & reminding people
they like democracy after all
we’ve done to keep the crown jewel
of this empire state safe
for our people now we got some clown
jumping into public swimming pools
in his off-the-rack suit
making us look like a bunch of stiffs
& the whole time he’s smiling
how can he be so goddamned happy
everything we’ve built is falling apart
